I'm Ana Meli Olivo — a RISD-trained story artist and writer who turns the emotional, cultural, and psychological facets of being human into fantastical worlds.
What I'm looking for: storyboard and story artist work on animated series and shorts, and writers' rooms building original worlds. I work from script or from a beat outline, board for pacing and performance, and I'm as comfortable taking a sequence from someone else's outline as I am building one from scratch.
What I do: I blend folklore, magical realism, and cultural memory. Through Olibee Studios I develop original stories across animation, interactive media, and prose, including Heartdecker and Ash & Sooth. I also teach animation and worldbuilding to young artists and am pursuing a master's degree in Creative Writing and Literature at Harvard University.
