Hi there! I am an illustrator.a writer.a creator.a teacher.a freelancer.a bunny lover.
I live in Boston, Massachusetts.
I’m all about story and animation.
My name is Ana Meli Olivo (she/her), and I’m an animation student at RISD. I also teach art and animation to children from K to 12th grade.
Growing up, I was captivated by animated movies from Pixar, DreamWorks, and Blue Sky. I have always been a fan of William Joyce and have been inspired by his imaginative cartoons translated from books to the screen. One of his innovative projects that truly impressed me was his interactive book, The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, and I have been following the trajectory of Moonbot Studios closely. The animated series that have influenced and inspired me the most are Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
